happier future in just 8 weeks.
(Based on treatments taken on consequetive weeks, though this is not essential
and you may want to do one session per month)
This course is designed to teach you how to better manage stress in your life rather than to eliminate stress altogether - as we all need a certain amount of stress in order for us to fulfill our goals.
However too much stress in our lives can lead to ill-health and restrictions on our abilities.
Today more and more people are affected by stress. For some stress is experienced as a result of one or a chain of events, such as bereavement, moving house, financial problems, ill health etc, and for others it may be an anxiety response learn in early childhood as a response to difficult situations.
Stress management training can really help you to better manage stresses in your life and to help you to lead a more fulfilling life, but like any skill worth learning it requires practice, hard work and commitment.
Sessions Include
The full stress management course is 8 sessions in length,
& includes an information giving exercise, time to talk to make the treatment perfectly suited to your individual needs, (research shows that the more information an individual has, the better able they are to manage stress) and a relaxation exercise on CD.
This is given to you for you to practice daily until your next session.
- We identify what specific problems are contributing to feelings of stress and how this is affecting your daily life and how this is contributing to physical problems. For some people this may be headaches, muscular pain, insomnia, relationship & work problems and for others it may have escalated into panic attacks, extreme fears, and suicidal thoughts. (This is a basic list of many problems that can be caused by stress.
2. We identify your strengths and weaknesses in coping with stress, introduce
muscular relaxation techniques as a way to manage stress. Muscular tension
contributes to chronic stress which is a habit built over years.
3. Relaxed breathing techniques are introduced and further assessment
of identifying thoughts that are contributing to poor stress management.
4. We look at negative thinking and how are emotional responses are in line with
our distorted thoughts about the situation and not the facts. Deep relaxation is
introduced and you are shown ways to uncover negative thinking.
5. We look at helping you to manage your time better, triggers for stress and
continue with advanced breathing techniques.
6. We look at negative thinking and behaviours and changing them for positive
thinking and behaviour. We look at building self esteem.
7. We continue with positive thinking and behaviour.
8. We explore diet, exercise, and assertiveness.
If you have been thinking for some time that you need help,
please do not hesitate any longer.
Burying and ignoring problems does not make them go away, instead they often resurface at the most inappropriate times and may cause problems with our own happiness, our relationships and work.
This can lead to a vicious circle of unhappiness, fear, rejection and feelings of failure.
Each session is approximately 1 hour 30 mins in length and is £50 per session.

Sessions can also be combined with massage treatments at a reduced rate.
(Discounts may be available for people on a low income, who have disabilities & for children & teenagers.)
Treatments can also be adapted to suit your budget and personal requirments.
